Welcome to Journey Toward Purpose Counseling.

I was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, and the strong sense of connection and community here has always meant a lot to me. After high school, I attended St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, where I earned my undergraduate degree. My time there helped me truly value diversity and the importance of honoring each person’s unique story. I later earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling from University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and it has been incredibly meaningful to continue serving the community that helped shape me.

For 28 years, I worked in the public school system as a teacher, coach, and school counselor. I had the privilege of supporting children and teens from ages 5 to 18 as they navigated academic pressures, friendships, family changes, and personal challenges. Those years taught me that sometimes what people need most is someone who will truly listen and care without judgment. I’ve also worked in clinical settings, which has allowed me to continue walking alongside individuals and families in a more focused therapeutic space.

I enjoy working with children, teens, and adults. I consider myself an eclectic counselor, meaning I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Everyone’s journey is different, and I tailor our work together to fit your needs, your pace, and your goals.

My hope is that when you walk into session, you feel safe, comfortable, and understood. Reaching out for support isn’t always easy, but you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey toward healing and growth.
